The Military Museum of Fortress Nymphea is located 17 km from Komotini and operated since 2000 in the portico of the eponymous fortress. Because the museum is in a military area, the visit to the exhibit is allowed upon approval of the 29th Infantry Brigade (Komotini, tel +302531022691), which provides a guide for the museum exhibits and the Gallery, on daily basis from 9:30 to 14:30 am. To arrive at the museum you will follow the asphalt road Komotini-Nymphea. In the winter, it may the road to have ice in some of its parts, making it a dangerous transition.
