The Ai Giannis beach has been characterised as an archaeological district since 2009. Therefore any developmental construction at the beach or even putting up an umbrella is forbidden by law. This does not seem to hinder the locals or visitors who populate it during the summer months. The reason is very simple... a natural gulf with crystal clear waters.
