In the settlement of Taxiarches in Drama (Sipsas) the first "settler" in the year 1930 was Father George Karslidis (1901-1959), who acquired the reputation of a holy man. Today on this point there is a thriving crowded sorority of nuns which constitutes the Holy Monastery of the Ascension of Christ.
